2025 Eye Health Support Camp
VCDS organized vision screening activities for children and teachers attending its non-formal schools. Following the screenings, corrective glasses worth approximately INR 100,000 were distributed to beneficiaries requiring visual support, helping improve educational participation and daily well-being.
2025 Summer Camp
VCDS organizes Summer Camp for school students who are progressing to 10th standard in-order to increase their knowledge, grasping power, understanding capacity and giving a proper foundation for their 10th class before appearing for the formal public examination.
For the 2024- 25 academic year, the summer camp was organized for 9 days. Around 100 students participate in these summer camps, coming from more than fifteen villages, government and private schools. Courses conducted concern English, Mathematics, Science, General Knowledge, Sustainable Agriculture, Basic laws on child rights, Disaster Management, and Leadership. All the participants are distributed with a certificate of participation.
2024 Medical Camp
VCDS organized 10 medical camps in 10 Primary Health Centers as a support action of Fengal Cyclone relief work. The rural people were getting affected by communicable water related diseases after the cyclone and floods. In addition, many pregnant mothers were not able to get nourishment due to the poor circumstances. VCDS identified people with Tuberculosis and pregnant mother and provided them with medical check-up and distributed nutrition kit for their well-being.
