As every year, VCDS organized a celebration to welcome the New Year. On this occasion, nearly one hundred people gathered at the Vellakulam center. Members and friends of the organization, along with many children from the non-formal schools, spent a joyful and heartwarming afternoon together.
The celebrations began at 1:30 PM. Each school presented two performances, including traditional songs and dances, which were greatly appreciated by the audience. Between the performances, speeches were delivered highlighting the hope and new beginnings that the year 2026 represents.
All participants then shared a communal meal and a cake. As night fell, candles were lit, adding a meaningful and touching moment to the celebration. Everyone returned home from 6:30 PM onwards.
